General Thoughts and Rants on My Life as August Draws to a Close

Its been a rough ride the past two days. First, in chronological order, BC left for Kuwait. Though I know that flying is statistically safer than driving, I worried a bit but not overly much. He contacted me from DC where he had a six hour layover, which was very nice. Other than that, most of the rest of my day was spent vegging and chatting in the LFAD chat room. Shared some pictures of me and BC, saw some of others I’ve grown to feel close to from there, and talked about whatever came up. Pretty boring day all in all, but it didn’t stay that way.

Last Conversation

Today my love leaves for Kuwait. We had our nightly phone chat last night, and it was so good to hear his voice. We didn’t talk about a lot important, just our days and my plans for this week. How his day looked like it would go today. There was a lot of fairly long silences. I spent a lot of minutes trying to stifle the tears and hurt.
