About Gurl

I thought I would add a page to tell you about myself. I have recently become a Registered Medical Assistant. I have skills to handle both front and back office duties in a doctor’s office, clinic, or whatever along those lines. Unfortunately, with family and other life circumstances, I have yet to find a job in the field close enough to home. I will be starting back to class to get another 2 year degree to upgrade my office skills so I can look at a broader base of jobs.

I have picked up some new to me hobbies since I found out one of the important people in my life is going to be over six thousand miles away for nine months or more. One of which is Paint Shop Pro. I am in LOVE with photo editing and creating. Its a totally addictive and enthralling process for me. I’ve never really though of myself as creative, but this has brought out what little bit of creative I have in me. Hopefully I will get a page up soon showcasing some of my creations.

Another is of course blogging again. Not sure how often I will be able to post. Finances are hurting a bit (as it is for so many Americans these days) which means net at home might be the next luxury to go for a bit. I am hoping to hit at least once a week. Who knows, with future posting of drafts, I maybe able to do several a week and set them up to post when I can’t be online. Gotta LOVE stuff like that!

One of my classes is going to be Introduction to Web Programming or something similar. I am really looking forward to that. One of my ex-boyfriends got me into a bit of coding, so it should be an easy class and I should learn more about something I enjoy a lot. I might even be able to transform the knowledge into yet another hobby.

I come from a small immediate family, and enjoy the closeness that affords. It is just my mom, my little sister and myself now. My grandma passed years ago, and is still sorely missed. My sister has a son, so he is the newest member of our family circle at 5.
