Well, it’s been a long time. Finally got my net situation at home pretty well straightened up, and maybe getting my muse back a bit. Hope to post more often, but no promises!
I was just sitting here thinking that we are exactly one week from Thanksgiving and then it will be Black Friday and the official start of the holiday shopping season.
For once, I have at least one person’s gifts take care of. Only because it could take a month or more to get there, but hoping for usual transit time. The last time I sent him something, it took about 17 days, give or take. I’ve mailed off his gifts with some other stuff. I can hardly wait for his reaction to the two jokes in the box and am a little nervous about the more sappy things I sent. I am 99% sure he will like those as well, but one never knows for sure.
I also know what I want to get Mom. That is, IF I can keep her from buying all three of my ideas for herself when our next checks come in (I am hoping REALLY hard it will be the week before or the week of Christmas.) When it comes to my sister and Mom’s significant other, I still have NO CLUE what to get them just yet. However, picking things for my nephew should be easy.
I love this time of year for giving to those I love. At least they won’t try and argue with me about it! Mom and I butted heads a bit when the laptop we had planned on buying was not in stock and I told her to pick one of the others. She was upset they were a bit more costly, but the one we finally got is awesome…So awesome that I want one myself now!
I hope each of you enjoys what ever traditions you have for this time of the year. No matter what you call this time of year, it is definitely fun if you keep a light heart and remember that this is a time to remember the good from the past year and prepare for the year coming. Blessed Be.
