To Boldly Go Where No One Has Gone Before

In the past few days, I have viewed a number of movies. My favorite so far has been the newest addition to the many Star Trek movies.

In this movie, we meet a much younger edition of the original crew. We learn a bit more about what makes them tick, and watch as the friendships first start to form.

Though the film introduces a possible new time line, it stays with the feel of the original series. It has plenty of action, a romance that somewhat took me by surprise, and so much more.

I won’t say much more about the actual plot of the movie, for I never know when someone reading will be someone who has yet to see or read whatever I am speaking of. I have a severe personal aversion to having a plot ruined for me, unless I specifically ask for the details. Therefore, I do my best not to inflict such evil on others.

I will say that this movie opens up the doors for many other movies in this new time line, if not an entirely new series (even if it does have the old crew). It is going to be interesting to see where any of that goes. Or if it goes no where at all…
